  • Aurora

    Black Swan Designs

I have also decided that since I am not timing myself, I will set a goal for each project as I work through the rotation. I plan to move to the next in the rotation once the goal for the current project has been completed.

To go along with my rotation, I have joined a StRIP club (Stash Reduction Implementation Project). View my StRIP List

How I chose my rotation projects

I've had a fairly large rotation in the past. All of my WIPs were included. I almost made it through using the 10-hour scheme twice, then things fell apart. I've tried the days-of-the-week rotation, which worked for a while, and I've done the screaming rotation, which also worked for a while (until everything started screaming at once eek! ).

So I was thinking about trying something different. I guess I hadn't thought about NOT including all of my WIPs in a rotation. But seeing some of the posts on the TWBB Rotation Stitchers board got me to thinking about it, and I attempted to put my WIPs into a few categories. I came up with:

  • BAPs (0)
    • Gothic Castle
    • Ixlandia
    • Nova
    • Starry Night
  • Black Swan Designs (2)
    • Aurora
    • Avatar
    • Dragon Heart
    • Lucien
    • Merrick
  • Dimensions/Lanarte kits (4)
    • Arabian Woman
    • Magnificent Wizard
    • Snow Leopard
    • Unicorn Mystique
  • TW designs (6)
    • Castles by the Sea
    • Guardian
    • Storyteller
    • Celestial Dragon
    • Dragon Ride
    • Egyptian Sampler
    • Enchanter
    • Fantasy Sampler
    • Magical Night
  • Mirabilia (2)
    • Maidens of the Seasons
    • Mother's Arms
  • Other (1)
    • Fancy Pansy
    • Legends of the Dragons
    • Cat
    • Pageant Kings
    • Pharaoh's Pet
    • Smokey (Moonstruck)
    • Summer's Magic
    • Trellis Sampler

Most of these projects are large and will take time to finish. Also, I enjoy learning new stitches and working on band samplers quite a bit. So, to keep myself from freaking out, I would add a 6th category:

  • Small projects/samplers
    • Just Nan and other samplers
    • Sweetheart Tree hearts
    • ornaments
    • small primitives such as Bent Creek or Lizzie Kate

I'll probably also keep one project in my bag for on-the-go/at-work.
