Guardian Angel
by Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum
My reasons for starting over, even though I had a lot of progress: 2 strands over 1 on 22 count hardanger is no fun. I realize now why I haven't finished this yet. It hurt to try to stitch it. The prospect of having to spend another 20-30 dismal, abysmal hours working on it, making myself miserable was just too much to endure.
She's finished and now she is framed! Anita, my wonderful framer, came through once again with a beautiful frame and mat combination which just complements the piece perfectly. The top mat is a dark green linen, with a 1/8" mat next, and then a 1/4" green mat echoing some of the green in her dress perfectly).

Check out the detailing on this frame - I
really love the different patterns

The other problem I had with the original cross-stitch was the color change
of 503 -
I was using 2 skeins, not realizing that one was an older, greyer version,
and the new one was much more blue-green.
Can you say, ugh/argh?????
