Chatelaine: Mini Mystery E
This was a mystery in 3 parts (well, really 4, because part 1 consisted of 1a and 1b).
I finished Part 1a, except for the crystal heart on April 17, 2004. Oh, one change I made to this part was to stitch with 2 strands of the PTB instead of one - I like how it fills in better and is much more sparkly! ;)
I finished part 1b April 23, 2004. I again used 2 strands of the PTB instead of one, and ended up modifying the design slightly - it is 2 stitches wider than it is supposed to be. I really didn't feel like frogging once I'd figured out that I had miscounted. I don't really think it changes the design any.
I jumped right into Part 2 when we received the chart, and didn't wait for the additional instructions, so my Part 2 may not look like everyone else's. I guessed that there would be 4 threads between parts 1 and 2 (found out later there were supposed to be 6), and the two large algerian eyelets in the center of the design I stitched with the metallic green. I found out this morning they were supposed to be stitched in the dark green silk. I don't think it will be a problem - just a little more sparkly. I'll try to take a photo to replace the scan, so that the piece doesn't look so wonky and dark.
I finished stitching Part 3 tonight, June 16! I just folded the bottom of the banding to simulate the point I will be stitching to finish it. I plan to add a tassel at the bottom made of all of the fibers from this project.
