Black Swan Designs: Avatar
My very first design to be stitched on a hand-dyed fabric. I thought that the colors ran too much together in the model, with the medium blue background, and since he is riding on the wind, I thought it should look more like a sky, which is where I got the idea for a hand-dyed fabric. I really like the colors of Winter Breeze, think that they'll compement the design much better than the medium blue that was recommended. I also plan to change his shoe. I don't like the yellow (at first I was wondering "what in the world is that?"), so I'll probably make it black or dark brown or navy, depending on what I think looks best when I get to that part of the design.
