Doodle-head Quilts!
It probably goes without saying, but I love to create quilts. Because it takes longer to make a quilt than to complete some cross stitch projects, I don't usually update this part of the site as often as the Cross Stitch section. I am usually working on at least one or more quilting projects though!

- February 9: It's that time of the month - a new block for the SSS 2008 BOM quilt. And no photo yet, but I finally finished assembling the Afternoon Tea BOM quilt quilt top this evening!
- January 22: A decision made on how to proceed with Delaney's Snow Puzzle and a couple of more blocks pieced.
- January 12: I've started my SSS 2008 BOM quilt!
- January 6: Afternoon Tea BOM quilt - I've started assembling the blocks into columns; Delaney's Snow Puzzle - I've created another test block (to make certain that I can do this, since I've got to make about 124 blocks for this quilt). Mom & Dad's Double Wedding Ring quilting is ongoing, I've finished almost 15 "blocks". I've also been working a little more on the Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt, but not enough for a new photo yet.
A Little Bit of History
While I was experimenting with polymer clay designs in 1995, a friend commented that some of the designs were very much like patchwork. She loaned me several magazines for inspiration, and my love affair with quilts and quilting was born. I attended the AQS Quilt Show in Paducah that year with a friend, and by the end of the year had finished my very first quilt - a baby quilt for my niece, rail fence design.
Check out this quilt and some of the other quilts I have made since then in my Finished Quilts section - they are listed in reverse order in which I made them.
