Afternoon Tea, a block of the month quilt
I fell in love with the colors and just had to have this quarter-yards stash of fabric! I decided they would be perfect in the block-of-the-month quilt I've been wanting to start.

Block 1, December 2006

Block 2, January 2007

Block 3, February 2007

Block 4, March 2007

Block 5, April 2007

April, 2007: sashing and setting fabrics purchased

Block 6, May 2007

Block 7, June 2007

Block 8, July 2007

Block 9, September 2007

Block 10, October 2007

Block 11, November 2007

The color is just a little off, but you can see here that the blocks will actually be on point with setting triangles. The color of the setting triangles is better seen in the picture above where I show off the setting and sashing fabrics purchased. It's like a capuccino color.

Block 12, November 2007

November 25, 2007: I had just one variation of block 12 to make, and here it is. The color is a little off on this picture too. C said it reminded him of a chocolate covered cherry. Today after completing this block, I sewed on some more of the setting triangles, so I now have about half of the setting triangles sewn to the blocks.
January 1, 2008: I've added all of the triangles to make the blocks on-point (photo below, right), and now I'm working on putting the blocks into the columns that will make up this quilt layout (first column in photo below, left).
February 9: I've finished piecing the entire quilt top, yippee!

March 7: I dropped off the quilt top at my LQS, and Carol is going to be quilting it.
April 15: I finished attaching the binding, and here is my new quilt!

This picture doesn't really show the backing very well, but at least you can see that I added a quilt block when I pieced the backing.

This is a much better view of the fabrics - It was basically pieced in a big 9-patch, 3x3.
