Melanie's Popcorn Afghan

Mel's afghan - I made this afghan for my friend Melanie when she lived in Charlotte (she's back in Nashville now!). I picked out the purple, hoping it would go with her purple chair, and decided that the other colors should sort-of match her sofa - sort of a popcorn-stitch design in purple/tan stripes. I used Simply Soft yarn (or some variation of that), and fringed the edges. I seem to like crocheting stripes. The pattern is from A Rainbow of Afghans by Leslie Linsley.
