Gerrick's Rainbows Baby Afghan

August 6: I just received the yarn I ordered for the afghan I'm crocheting for my brother-in-law Rick (CC's brother) and his wife Sherry, because they have recently learned they are going to have a baby. The baby is due in March, so I'm hoping that I will have plenty of time to devote to getting it done (and hopefully before the baby shower, whenever that will be). I just started it last night, the first row of pink.

Here is what it should look like - the color scheme I've chosen is similar to the model: white, pink, peach, lemon, soft turquoise, and sky. I've ordered these colors from Herrschner's, but if they are not exactly what I need, then I will try The Stitchin Post or Wal-Mart or Angel Hair Yarn Co.

The pattern is from the Leisure Arts leaflet (#2260), "Rainbow Baby Afghans". It is the same leaflet that contains the pattern I used to create Delaney's Rainbow Shells afghan. Stay tuned for more information!
