Cathy's Doily - (January) Serendipity

From the Leisure Arts leaflet, A Year of Doilies.

I made this doily for my mom and dad's next-door neighbor, Cathy. She had gotten an antique oval table, and Mom thought it needed a pretty oval doily. The pattern is from the same leaflet as above called "A Year of Doilies". I used ecru crochet cotton, and finally got to give it to her July 17, 1999. I also crocheted two matching smaller round doilies and then tea-dyed them for Cathy, but forgot to take pictures of those.
