Knitting projects: Knit scarf, 2008

I purchased some yarn in February 2008 to make a spring / summer scarf. I loved the model I saw in the store, bought the yarn and pattern to make it and quickly discovered that I couldn't knit the pattern well at all. So, I ripped that out and tried several different patterns, and finally settled on this one. I had tried this pattern once and liked it, but messed up and couldn't rip just back to the error, so I ripped all the way out and started again.
